TOKYO KEIKI ECDIS Type Specific - Deck Courses
Description
ClassNK announced that it had issued type specific training course approval to an Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS) course by Tokyo Keiki Inc. This approval, certifying the compliance of this course with ClassNK’s new standard for Maritime Education & Training, is the first of its kind to be issued by the Society to an ECDIS manufacturer in Japan.
Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
- Manipulate system of Tokyo KeikiCo., Ltd. ECDIS.
- Identify the function of Tokyo Keiki Co., Ltd. ECDIS.
- Distinguish the setting method of a chart display.
- Identify various set-up concerning safety.
- Identify the meaning of various alarms.
- Create a route plan.
- Perform route surveillance.
- Execute a backup arrangement.
- Prepare management of a chart and a license.
- Perform easy failure diagnosis.
Entry Standard
It is understood that the trainee has completed any one of the following:
· A Navigation Aids, RADAR & ARPA Simulation Course (NARAS UK Maritime Course) (operational or management) completed after 1st January 2005.
· An ECDIS programme based on the IMO Model ECDIS course (1.27) approved by the MCA.
Class Size
The minimum number of trainees is 2 and maximum is 6; 2 trainees per workstation.
