Generally, this course covers the following:

           ·  Ballasting and De Ballasting

           ·  Ballasting Requirements at Sea

           ·  Safety Precautions during Ballasting/De-ballasting

           ·  Loading of high density and ballast distributions

Objective

This course aims to provide knowledge and understanding of safety procedures on ballasting and de – ballasting operation on board ships.

Entry Standards

 At least graduate of BS Marine Engineering or BS Marine Transportation with at least 1 year experience on board the vessel as a part of engineering watch or deck watchkeeping.
